The Illinois lawmakers asked the Department of Human Services to comment on alleged abusive reports

After a series of reports on alleged abuse of developmentally disabled people under state care, Illinois lawmakers requested additional oversight.

The Illinois lawmakers received reports on the problems at a downstate disabled care facility under the state. And after that, the Illinois lawmakers and administration planned to move disabled residents to other care facilities.

The Illinois lawmakers informed that there are problems at the other disabled care facilities as well.
