Honolulu business owners will receive a property tax break following the rail’s relocation construction work.
New Bill to Provide Property Tax Relief to Honolulu Business Owners Affected by Rail Construction
A new bill is expected to provide property tax relief to several Honolulu business owners affected by the rail construction along Dillingham Blvd.
Officials aim to give the affected Honolulu business owners a 50% property tax break to make sure that they will be compensated and given relief for the negative impact of the rail construction on the businesses they have established for years.
Several Honolulu business owners claimed that the rail construction prevented the customers from moving from one place to another, leading to the decreasing number of business hours and the money they earn due to the lack of customers in the area.
