For canceling accounts without properly returning $1,160,000, JPMorgan Chase is currently being sued.

The bank was charged with canceling accounts and discriminating against clients in August.

Mother and child Rui Wang and Hengchen Qu have sued JPMorgan Chase Bank for suspected unfair advantage and violation of contract about licenses of deposit (CDs), according to Think Advisor.

In 2019, they spent $1.16 million on 3 nine-month CDs that were automatically renewed at a Chase location in Arcadia, California.

According to the complaint, when the clients returned to California from China and went to their local Chase location, they found that the bank had ceased handling their accounts.
