Under the Restaurant Meals Program, food stamp recipients from different states can use their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to pay for their meals after eating at a restaurant.
According to reports from Washington Examiner, the Restaurant Meals Program aims to provide relief to food stamp recipients, especially low-income families, who have financial burdens and do not have the means to get their meals.
The eligible food stamp recipients will only have to use their Electronic Benefits Transfer card to access the benefits to participating restaurants under the program, including fast food chains such as Burger King, McDonald’s, and others.
