In connection with Cambridge Analytica Scandal, Facebook users with active accounts between May 2007 to December 2022 are now eligible to apply for their share in Meta’s $725 million settlement.
Facebook users can apply to claim Settlement money
From May 2007 to December 2022, Facebook users who have an active account during those years can now submit their application to receive Facebook parent company Meta’s settlement concerning the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
In December, Meta decided to have a settlement in an old class action lawsuit allegedly accusing it of allowing Cambridge Analytica to access Facebook users’ info and ambiguous users about its privacy practices.
Last month, a California judge in charge of the case ruled initial approval in the settlement decided by Meta. The form needed to claim the settlement money requires personal details and information about the Facebook user’s account. Forms be printed or filled out online and submit it to mail. The deadline for application is August 25, 2023, as part of the settlement.

Final settlement approval is on Sept. 7, 2023
The hearing for final settlement approval is on Sept. 7, 2023. If the court grants the settlement and presumptuously no appeals, Facebook users will receive their settlement money.
Meta did not admit any offense as a portion of the settlement.
