Colorado Voters Encouraged to Approve the Property Tax Reduction Proposal

Colorado voters have the power to decide whether to approve the property tax reduction proposal or not in November to provide relief for many property and business owners.

According to the new property tax reduction proposal that Colorado voters will decide, eligible property owners will get higher property tax relief if approved, which will help them save more money, especially with the expected hikes coming in Colorado.

The Colorado voters have to remember that the property tax reduction proposal will provide funding for several areas, including education, water, and fire—main reason why they were encouraged to approve the proposal.

Republicans Oppose the Property Tax Reduction and Encourage Colorado Voters to Say No to the Proposal

Following the property tax reduction proposal, the Republicans encouraged the Colorado voters to say no, claiming that the reduction would only hurt the TABOR refunds instead of providing relief to property and business owners, The Center Square reported.

A conservative advocacy group named Advance Colorado claimed that the ballot item presented to the Colorado voters was misleading and violated the constitution and filed a lawsuit together with other counties opposing the property tax reduction proposal.
