New Guaranteed Income Program To Provide $500 Direct Payment to Several Cambridge Residents
A new guaranteed income program in Massachusetts called “Rise Up” will provide $500 in direct payment to several eligible Cambridge residents, especially low-income families who need financial assistance.
Following the success of the previous pilot program called “Cambridge Rise,” the new guaranteed income program will also give relief to the Cambridge residents to meet their basic needs and pay for their increasing expenses and bills.
According to reports from The U.S. Sun, there will be approximately eligible Cambridge residents that will be eligible for the $500 monthly payment, which came from the $22 million budget under the American Rescue Plan Act.

Eligible Cambridge Residents Encouraged to Apply for the “Rise Up” Program
Under the “Rise Up,” eligible Cambridge residents aged 18 and above with at least one child aged 21 and below with an income of 250% under the federal poverty level per household will be eligible for the $500 in direct payment.
Cambridge residents who will be eligible for the new guaranteed income program are encouraged to submit the application form online until July 31.
Several Cambridge residents will receive initial payments starting on June 30.
