August California Food Stamps or SNAP payments in the Golden State will start on the first of the month until Aug. 10, 2023. California Food Stamps will be given depending on the beneficiary’s case number.
- If a case number ends in 1, California Food Stamps recipients can expect to see their CalFresh assistance on Aug. 1.
- If a case number ends in 2, California Food Stamps will be available on Aug. 2.
- The California Food Stamps payment dates continue until Aug. 10, when those with a case number ending in 0 will receive their California Food Stamps payment.
The amount of California Food Stamps benefits given to households will depend on household size and additional assets.
The average California Food Stamps payment per eligible individual is $196 a month
The maximum California Food Stamps for a household of one recipient each month is $281. The maximum California Food Stamps amount for four is $939, and the maximum for eight is $1,691. For each household recipient past eight, the California Food Stamps or CalFresh program adds up to $211.
Around 13% of the population in California receives CalFresh assistance or the California Food Stamps, amounting to almost 5 million eligible Californians each month.
