Alaska residents will receive a payment of up to $3,284 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD).
Alaska Residents Will Receive Annual PFD Payment
Alaska residents expect to receive a portion of $3,284 in direct payments through the PFD program, a shared tax revenue program gathered from oil extraction in Alaska.
According to The U.S. Sun, this year’s PFD payment will be larger than the payments from the previous years due to the additional benefits for eligible Alaska residents.
However, some portion of the PFD payment to be received by the Alaska residents will be counted as taxable income, wherein $662 will be considered energy relief and nontaxable, while the remaining $2,622 of the direct payments will be income and taxable.
