As part of the Acuity data privacy breach lawsuit, several affected customers expect to receive up to a $3,500 settlement payment after the company failed to protect their personal information from hackers.
According to the report from The U.S. Sun, more than 100,000 affected customers have reported their complaints about hackers accessing their personal information without authorization, leading to a lawsuit against Acuity.
Following the lawsuit, the company refused to admit that they were at fault for the data privacy breach allegations that occurred but agreed to settle the lawsuit by giving settlement payment and ensuring that all customers, especially the affected customers, would earn free credit for monitoring services for two years.

Affected Customers are Encouraged to Submit a Claim Form to Receive Settlement Payment from Acuity Following Data Privacy Breach Lawsuit
Following the data privacy breach lawsuit, affected customers are encouraged to submit a claim form until August 3 to be eligible for the settlement payment.
Affected customers with stolen information, including bank and credit accounts, will receive a $500 settlement pay, while those who had their identity stolen will get up to $3,500 as long as they present proof of the identity theft case.
