According to a report published in Lafourche Gazette, the state’s treasury office aimed to distribute and return the $7.9 million in unclaimed tax refunds to gain trust from the community and promised the eligible taxpayers to receive the unclaimed tax refunds they deserved from their lost funds.
With the available millions of unclaimed tax refunds, the Louisiana taxpayers who are eligible for the $7.9 million in unclaimed tax refunds are those who have pending state income tax refunds or those who lost track of them from last years, which are now available for them.
