Budget Proposal For New Fiscal Year.

Massachusetts’ Senate house approved a $55.9 billion budget proposal on Thursday. This focuses on higher education. All student in Massachusetts is qualified if they have attended in high school and at least three years in colleges and Universities, graduated or obtained GED. It would also create a free Community Program for nursing students, the approved proposal also included the online lottery games.

The senate also go against including money in free meals in school and hope to take the issue to another supplemental budget. Tax revenue collection has plunged to less than $2.1 billion and for the month of April. The House also approved a separate $654 million tax relief package. The Senate will take the discussion by the start of the new fiscal year.
