Fife Tops as the Most Dangerous City, While Colville Shines as the Safest in Washington

We looked at the most recent crime data from the FBI and studied how many violent and property crimes happened in each city in Washington. We focused on cities with more than 5,000 people and we looked at a total of 121 cities.

Our study found that Fife is the most dangerous city in Washington. This means there are more crimes happening there compared to other cities. Its important to pay attention to this and take action to make Fife safer. On the other hand Colville is the safest city in Washington which is good news for people looking for a safe place to live.

  3. Tukwila – Located between Seattle and Renton. Its home to the Westfield Southcenter mall and is known for its diverse population. Has also issues related to crime and poverty.
  4. Toppenish – Known for its murals and Western themed downtown. Its also home to the Yakama Nation Tribal Museum. However it has a higher crime rate compared to other cities in the state.
  5. Seattle – The largest city in Washington and the Pacific Northwest. Its known for its tech industry vibrant arts scene and beautiful natural surroundings. Has faced challenges related to homelessness and property crime.
  6. Spokane – Spokane is a city in eastern Washington known for its outdoor recreation opportunities and historic downtown. Its also home to Gonzaga University. However it has faced challenges related to crime and poverty.
  7. Lakewood – Its known for its suburban feel and its proximity to Joint Base Lewis McChord. However it has a higher crime rate compared to other cities in the state.
  8. Vancouver – Located near the Oregon border. Its known for its historic downtown and its proximity to the Columbia River.
  9. SeaTac – Located near Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Its known for its airport and its diverse population. However it has a higher crime rate compared to other cities in the state.
  10. Federal Way – Is a city in King County Washington located between Seattle and Tacoma. Its known for its suburban feel and its proximity to Puget Sound. Facing challenges related to crime and poverty.
