Jinkx Monsoon Joins ‘Doctor Who Season 14

Whovians, the cosmos is growing! Two-time Jinkx Monsoon, a winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will appear in Season 14 of Doctor Who.

Following their performance as Matron Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway, Jinkx will play a significant part, according to BBC.

Russell T. Davies, the show’s creator, also issued a statement regarding the newest cast member: The largest star in a galaxy full of comets and supernovas is about to appear. Doctor Who will never be the same again as Jinkx Monsoon collides with the TARDIS!

I’m honored, overjoyed, and genuinely pleased to be joining Doctor Who! I can’t wait to dig into the weeds with Russell T Davies and the team since he is a terrific writer with a unique perspective. I’m hoping the TARDIS has space for my bags, Jinx said.

According to TV Line, Doctor Who will return in November with three extra episodes honoring the science fiction program’s 60th anniversary.

As was previously mentioned, David Tennant will reprise his role as the Fourteenth Doctor in those episodes, while Catherine Tate will play Donna Noble.

According to the BBC, Ncuti Gatwa‘s debut episode as the 15th Doctor will then run over the holiday season.

Ncuti Gatwa, who specializes in sexual education, was announced to take on the Doctor Who role in May of last year.

Although the precise release date for that episode is still unknown, Doctor Who did share a clip of Gatwa in the part along with news that Disney+ will be the long-running series’ new streaming service outside of the UK and Ireland.
