Athanasios “Thanasi” Kokkinakis /nsi kknks/ A professional tennis player from Australia (Greek: v “(Thanasis); born 10 April 1996). As of June 8, 2015, he was ranked as high as No. 69 in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in the singles competition.
His best Major singles performance to date came in the 2015 French Open, where he advanced to the third round and won his only ATP Tour title. Kokkinakis and fellow Australian Nick Kyrgios reached the semifinals of the 2022 Miami Open and the finals of the 2022 Australian Open to propel them to a career-high doubles ranking of No. 27 on 13 June 2022.

In his first clay court tournament of 2022, Kokkinakis stunned No. 2 seed Fabio Fognini in straight sets and then advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating No. 7 seed Federico Delbonis in three sets. There, he was defeated in two sets by Casper Ruud, the event’s second seed and the defending champion.
After defeating Kamil Majchrzak at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, he finally won a Grand Slam event. Kokkinakis was eliminated in the second round after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of eventual champion Novak Djokovic.
