Colin Rand Kaepernick (/Kaepernick/ KAP-r-nik; born November 3, 1987) is a free-agent quarterback and American civil rights, activist. There, he spent six years as a member of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers (NFL). He began kneeling during the playing of the national anthem prior to NFL games in 2016 to express his displeasure with police brutality and racial inequality.
Kaepernick was the only player in NCAA Division I history with 10,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards in a career while playing college football for the Nevada Wolf Pack, for whom he won the WAC Offensive Player of the Year award twice. He was taken by the 49ers in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, shortly after he graduated.
Career
After starting his professional football career as Alex Smith’s backup, Kaepernick took over as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers in the midst of the 2012 season due to Smith’s concussion.
The team started the rest of the season with him at quarterback, and they made it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1994. Kaepernick led the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game in his first full season as a starter (2013). Kaepernick’s starting job with the 49ers swung back and forth over the next three years, and the team went winless in that time.

In May, he worked out for almost five hours with the Las Vegas Raiders. While that workout was successful and Kaepernick is still reportedly in “great” shape, he is not currently on an NFL roster.

Nessa Diab was born in Los Angeles, California, in the United States in May of 1988. She received her degree from Berkeley. While still in school, Nessa began her career in radio. A radio show called “The Nessa Show on Hot 97” was her next venture.
Nessa subsequently appeared in the first four seasons of the MTV series Girl Code. She has also been featured on a number of television programs, such as “The Real World Aftershow,” “Real World: Ex-Plosion Reunion,” “MTV2 Jobs That Don’t S*ck,” and many more. Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been dating Nessa for quite some time. The couple is now recognized as one of the NFL’s most influential couples.
