J. Clayton Mayer (born October 16, 1977) is an American singer, composer, and guitarist. With Clay Cook, Mayer left Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1997 and relocated to Atlanta to form a new band, Mayer and Cook. Lo-Fi Masters was a short-lived two-man band they created together.
Career
After his participation at the 2001 South by Southwest Festival, he was signed to Aware Records and then to Columbia Records, which published his first extended play Inside Wants Out. In 2001 and 2003, his studio albums Room for Squares and Heavier Things both achieved multi-platinum status in the United States. When he released “Your Body Is a Wonderland” in 2003, he received the Grammy Award for best male pop vocal performance.
It was at this time that Mayer began to perform more of the blues and rock music that had affected him the most growing up as a musician. With B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton, he worked on blues music. ‘ As part of the John Mayer Trio, he released two studio albums: Continuum in 2006 and Try! in 2005. In 2007, Mayer won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum, his second album. “Waiting for the World to Change” won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the Grammy Awards. When Battle Studies came out in 2009, it marked a comeback to pop music, with a Battle Studies World Tour.

There’s a rumor that John Mayer and Kiernan Shipka are dating

Tweeters descended on Twitter as soon as they learned of the current commotion surrounding John and Shipka’s relationship. There was one angry user who stated, “John Mayer, please stay the f**k away from Kiernan Shipka or I swear to god this is going to be my villain origin tale,” and another who pointed out the 22-year age difference. “She’s young enough to be his daughter,” said another. Others wrote: “He’s 50 or something, but [the woman] is 22?” “What the hell is he doing? He’s so bizarre.”
“The age differences are just becoming wider” was added by the next person, while another wrote, “Omg she’s too young to be messed with.” ‘When will boys start dating ladies their own age,’ one person wondered. Another person wrote on Twitter, “Bro, that could be her father’s child.” While adding many emoticons of a vomiting face, one person wrote, “HES LITERALLY DOUBLE HER AGE.” According to a commenter, “He’s practically old enough to be her father.”
