Two Days Later

When Chuya explains that he is only there as a result of a bargain their bosses made, Kunikida finds it hard to believe that the Port Mafia protected them. Yukichi consented to hand over one of the Agency’s members to the Port Mafia in return for the lives of his companions. Tetcho suddenly pierces the chopper with his sword, stabbing Miyazawa in the chest. Kunikida gets out of the aircraft as Tetcho swings the sword towards them. He swings himself in the direction of Tetcho, knocking them both to the ground. He then employs his talent to transform a notebook page’s corner into a grenade, blowing them both up while they are in midair.

At the structure where they have been hiding, Atsushi and Kyoka fall through the ceiling. Atsushi questions the veracity of the inspectors’ claims that the president would be taken into custody. They hear news reports accusing the Armed Detective Agency of being a criminal organization all along as they make their way to safety. He begins to feel hopeless and ponder how they would escape this situation before recalling the warning that Ranpohad had gotten from Mushitaro. In order to establish the Agency’s innocence, they set out to find him.

What Does Mori Tell the Armed Detective Agency About Dazai?

Find Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald and ask him to utilize his Eyes of God I.D. system to locate Mushitaro, Kyoka, and Atsushi. Unfortunately, when they get there, Francis is already fighting Nathaniel Hawthorne, the assassin, who has sprung out of the window.

Mori visits the Armed Detective Agency after giving them permission to utilise one of his lairs. He is unaware of Kunikida’s current situation, but he is aware that Dazai was transferred to the Department of Security before his whereabouts became unknown.

Who Is the Newest Prisoner at Meursault?

Francis is begged to believe that the Armed Detective Agency is innocent, but he insists that they cannot defeat Fyodor. He claims that Fyodor is held captive at Meursault, a unique facility for the Gifted. Atsushi is perplexed by Fyodor’s adept manipulation of external events, but Francis claims that this is his area of expertise.

When Fyodor thinks his plan is succeeding, a new cell materialises. As he realises the prisoner is Dazai, he grins, thinking the man willingly consented to his detention in order to assist the Armed Detective Agency.

The two decide to play a game where they exchange questions and advise, claiming that their brilliance is too much for others. Soon, they begin to wonder how they each interact with the outside world, and they come to the conclusion that whoever discovers the other’s way first will be able to have their friends destroy it from the outside. Essentially, communication must be cut off in order to succeed.

Francis requests that Yosanous use her gift to awaken Margaret Mitchell, a former guild member who is the only one capable of killing Nathaniel. After witnessing Magaret’s body, Atsushi unwillingly consents to the request.

Yosano attacks Mori and claims he is just aiding because he wants her to join the Port Mafia after declaring he won’t assist them in proving their innocence. She assures him that Yukichi would never permit such behaviour. Yosano was not particularly requested by Yukichi, as viewers can see in a flashback, but Mori lied and told Yosano that Yukichi would be open to transferring her.

To leverage Yosano’s talent, Francis phones Mori and informs him that he has dispatched Atsushi in his direction. Mori is not only shocked that Francis discovered the hiding place, but he is also aware of Francis’ propensity to side with the more powerful side. If Francis is collaborating with the Armed Detective Agency regarding the Hunting Dogs, he thinks that this could be a trap.

Even though this episode had a lot of talking and information-dumping, it wasn’t inherently horrible. We not only learned a lot about what was going on, but we also got to see a lot of well-known faces. Reaching out to Francis for assistance was a surprising decision that made things much more fun given how much of a hassle folks like him had previously been. It was also nice to witness Dazai’s role in this, at last. I was genuinely surprised it had taken this long because he had been somewhat underutilised this season while yet being one of the most fascinating and valuable characters and one of the favourites of many fans.

I’m intrigued to see where this is all headed, though. The fact that the show has kept fans on their toes this far into the season is admirable. Every time I think I know what’s going to happen next, I’m incorrect.
