The suspected drunk driver who allegedly killed a guy after Taylor Swift’s concert was appearing in court

On the way home after the Taylor Swift Era’s Tour event on a Saturday morning, a 20-year-old guy was allegedly injured by a hit-and-run car who fled the scene. The alleged driver was scheduled in court on Monday.

When Jacob Lewis attempted to assist his sister in pushing her stalled automobile off the Southwest Freeway, he was struck and murdered. The 34-year-old motorist, Alan Bryant Hayes, is thought by Houston police to have been drunk at the point of the incident.

Hayes’ bond was set by a court at $90,000 during the weekend. He faces felony charges for both failures to pull over and provide help and traveling when intoxicated. The 3rd DWI offense for Hayes, according to HPD.

Lewis and April Bancroft was on their way house across I-69 northbound around Shepherd at 1:15 a.m. after leaving Friday night’s Taylor Swift event at NRG Stadium when Bancroft’s vehicle stuck on the highway.
