NYC woman Viktoria Nasyrova was found guilty of second-degree attempted murder and sentenced to 21 years in prison for trying to kill her ‘doppelganger’ friend with a poisoned cheesecake.
NYC Woman Tries to Kill Her Doppelganger
After trying to poison and kill her friend, a 47-year-old NYC woman was charged with second-degree attempted murder, second-degree assault, petit larceny, first-degree attempted assault, and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
According to the investigation, Nasyrova planned the crime after realizing she could steal her friend’s identity, Olga Tsvyk, due to their physical similarities, complexion, hair, and the fact that they both speak Russian.
The Supreme Court sentenced her to 21 years in jail and five-year post-release supervision after gathering sufficient evidence and the victim’s statement that the NYC woman tried to murder her and steal her identity, Fox News reported.

Victim Details the Attempt on Doppelganger Murder
The victim of the attempted doppelganger murder testified that Nasyrova went to her home and brought her cheesecake despite insisting that the NYC woman could come over without bringing anything.
Tsvyk started feeling sick 20 minutes after eating a third slice of the cheesecake, which had been laced with a Russian tranquilizer Phenazepan and Nasyrova’s DNA.
Fortunately, she was rushed to a hospital after being discovered unconscious in her bed with pills around her, making it look like she, as Nasyrova, had committed suicide.
