Man Arrested After Threatening Deputies and Firing Rifle Shots
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Department shared on Sunday that they caught a man who had locked himself up in a home with guns. The man, Bryce Locklear 30, had locked himself inside a house on Sunderland Drive after the police came in response to a call about gunshots.
When the police arrived they saw a few fired rifle shots in front of the house. Sheriff Leon Lott said that the Special Response Team was called to talk to Locklear. During this Locklear threatened to shoot the deputies. After some time Locklear stopped talking and the deputies thought he had fallen asleep. When the police tried to leave Locklear came out of the house shot a round with a powerful rifle and then went back inside.

Man Arrested After Standoff with Police in Richland County
The SRT used gas to make Locklear leave the house peacefully. He came out of the back door with a rifle but the deputies arrested him without any harm. They also found out that no one else was in the house. Locklear was charged with aggravated breach of peace. He was first taken to the hospital and then to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
