Majors is accused of striking a woman

In a report from CNN, Majors was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to begin the trial. What delayed the trial wasn’t immediately clear.

Majors is charged with slapping a woman about the face with an open hand, causing significant discomfort and a laceration behind her ear, according to the complaint that CNN was able to get.

It further states that he placed his palm on her neck, causing severe discomfort and bruising.

Attorney Priya Chaudhry: My is client innocent

Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry insisted on her client’s innocence in a statement to CNN on Thursday, claiming that her client was “unjustly cuffed” and taken to jail, and that he is the “real victim in this shameful ordeal,” who “has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart.”

The “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” actor attended a hearing in a New York City courtroom in June to address the accusations made against him by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office earlier in the year. At that time, August 3 had been designated as the trial date by Judge Rachel S. Pauley.

Majors has refuted the accusations made against him regarding an event that happened in New York City on March 25 through his counsel.
