The stabbing attacks resulted in two deaths and one person being critically injured

The latest stabbing happened near the university campus, leaving Kimberlee Guillory in critical condition. The other two attacks took place in parks, killing UC Davis senior Karim Abou Najm and 50-year-old David Breaux. Dominguez was a former student at the university until he was separated for academic reasons on April 25, according to a news release from the university.

Law enforcement officials found a large knife in Dominguez’s backpack that was consistent with the weapon used in the first homicide.

He was arrested after law enforcement officers were led to him by a witness, and he was compliant throughout the process

The evidence collected included “blood evidence and fibers and other types of trace evidence,” said Davis Police Chief Darren Pytel. Dominguez is from Oakland, but the authorities are still investigating further details about him. He is being held at the Yolo County Jail, and the decision regarding whether to pursue the death penalty will be made at a later date, the prosecutors said.
