FBI urged anyone with information regarding Worrell’s whereabouts

Christopher Worrell, 52, of Naples, Florida, allegedly broke the terms of his parole while awaiting sentencing on federal offenses, according to an FBI wanted poster. The FBI urged anyone with information regarding Worrell’s whereabouts to get in touch with their neighborhood office or the closest embassy or consulate of the United States.

The Washington Post reported that since being released from custody in the D.C. in November 2021, Worrell has been under house arrest in Florida. He claimed that he was abused in jail because of his non-Hodgkin lymphoma and a broken wrist. His sentencing was slated for Friday.

Bill Shipley, Worrell’s lawyer, declined to comment.

The Justice Department’s statistics shows that more than 1,100 people have been charged in relation to the tragic Capitol uprising.

Over 700 people have been found guilty in the 2 12 years since the uprising, including Worrell. On seven counts, including preventing Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election results, acting violently on Capitol grounds, and using pepper-spray gel to assault three police officers, he was found guilty in May.

Prosecutors reportedly requested that the U.S. Worrell was given a 14-year jail sentence by District Judge Royce C. Lamberth this month. Lamberth made the case that, in contrast to many other January 6 rioters, Worrell refused to accept responsibility, showed no remorse, and repeatedly lied to the court while under testimony.

Proud Boys, Trump’s army, were stoked by his call for a violent demonstration in December 2020

One of the two Proud Boys whose acts on January 6 were planned or motivated by the four violent far-right group’s leaders, mainly Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, is Worrell.

In May, Tarrio was found guilty of seditious conspiracy following a historic trial. The former Proud Boys head was charged with planning political violence to stop Congress from certifying the 2020 election results.

The Proud Boys, according to the prosecution, considered themselves as President Donald Trump’s army, were motivated by his order to “stand by” during a presidential debate in September 2020, and were stoked by his call for a violent demonstration in December 2020.

The former president was charged this month by a federal grand jury with criminal conspiracy to rig the 2020 presidential election outcomes.

Worrell is not the only defendant from January 6 who authorities are looking for. As of Sunday, three more people were still wanted, according to the FBI: Jonathan Daniel Pollock, Olivia Michele Pollock, and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III. The New York Times stated that Olivia, Jonathan’s sister who was accused of attacking law enforcement, escaped days before the start of her trial. The FBI has listed the three as wanted.

Another Jan. 6 defendant, Evan Neumann, escaped to Europe in February 2021 and was given asylum in Belarus.
