Following the shooting and death of his 27-year-old roommate, Domonique Scott Hayes, 38-year-old Richard Bennaugh was arrested and charged with manslaughter in Springdale, Maryland.

During a remote control debate, tragedy struck. At 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Prince George’s County Police found Hayes inside the home with deadly gunshot wounds.
Per the early inquiry, Bennaugh shot Hayes during their argument. According to reports, Bennaugh called the police six hours after the incident, alleging that his roommate possessed knives. It happened between 5:30 and 6 a.m.
The cops were informed that Bennaugh fell asleep on the sofa and was woken by Hayes’ cooking noise. According to Hayes, Bennaugh rejected his numerous requests for the remote control’s position. Bennaugh withdrew his cover and spotted Hayes brandishing two knives, which intensified the situation. Bennaugh responded by firing his revolver and moving to his third-floor room.
