California Woman Allegedly Pointed Pellet Gun At Crowds, Leading To Officer-Involved Shooting

After allegedly brandishing a pellet pistol at groups of onlookers in midtown Sacramento, including police officers, a California lady allegedly unleashed dread, which resulted in an officer-involved shooting.

The shooting that resulted in Linh Saeteurn, 43, being shot was described in a number of videos and 911 recordings that the Sacramento police have made public.

At 12:15 pm on May 20, police responded to a call about a person with a gun in midtown Sacramento.

Within 20 minutes, dispatch received a deluge of other calls reporting a lady rushing around the same location brandishing a gun.

“A woman is moving her rifle around. One of the 911 callers described the person as “spouting gibberish.”

When the officers spotted Saeteurn, she sprinted away. K9 officers tracked the gun-toting suspect on foot after pursuing her in their police cars.

Saeteurn chose to point it at the cops and move closer to them.

At that point, two policemen started firing.

Police officials found an airsoft gun that was in the suspect’s possession after the shooting.

She was taken to the hospital by the Sacramento Fire Department, where her condition is described as stable. The police officers were all unharmed.

Saeteurn will be checked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for the relevant offenses upon medical clearance.

The Homicide Unit, Internal Affairs Division, and Professional Standards Unit of the Sacramento Officer Department are all looking into the shooting including officer involvement.
