Alan Wesley Smith, 47, of Barbourville, was arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department for a New Year’s Eve burglary at Extreme Fitness on Highway 25E. An arrest occurred after a detective responded to a fitness center burglary complaint on December 31.

According to the inquiry, Smith broke into the business’s garage and stole two cars. Smith stole various tools and damaged the property during the burglary, along with the automobiles.

Smith’s claimed crimes included more than stolen cars, tools, and property damage. He was seen driving a stolen automobile on KY-1304 in Hinkle, Knox County.

After a quick traffic stop, cops arrested Smith and took him to Knox County Detention Center.
