Alex Murdaugh Indicted On More Tax Evasion Charges
The 54-year-old convicted killer Alex Murdaugh is sentenced to life in prison for killing his wife and son and now he is accused of swindling his former law firm out of more than $2 million and failing to report the illegal earned income according to the South Carolina grand jury.
Now, Alex Murdaugh will be charged with two fresh counts of illegal attempts to evade or defeat a tax. Way back in the year 2020, Murdaugh earned about $1,147,342 from his former firm Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Elzroth & Detrick (PMPED), and was also accused of stealing again another $1,112,734 from the company and the client.
According to the filings, he was offered to settle a fund but he never filed a tax return. He also owes the state about $67,624. In 2021, he murdered his wife Maggie, 52, and his son Paul, 22. He also earned $86,069 from PMPED and scammed another $1,000,333 and he failed to again to file a tax return.

Alex Murdaugh Indictment: Killer Will Faces 2 More Tax Evasion Counts
Now, the latest criminal indictment comes nearly two months after Murdaugh after the suspect was found guilty of murdering his wife and son to prevent his financial crimes to come out. After those allegations and crimes his great-grandfather, Randolph Murdaugh Sr. who is now the top prosecutor of the Lowcountry region said that Murdaugh was also accused of stealing nearly $9 million from the clients and his former company law firm and he change it’s name to Parker Law Group to cover up his old scandals. Now, was already sentenced to two life terms, which he is serving at McCormick Correctional Institution in South Carolina.
