Controversy
We’d like to take a moment to clarify JHS Pedals, our character, and our ideals in light of recent concerns and false claims that have been disseminated on the Internet.
It is important to us that the human rights of everyone be respected and upheld. On the contrary, we categorically deny any claims to the contrary and consider them to be completely false and without validity. To take a position on political or religious issues would be unjust to our hard-working employees, as well as to the diverse group of artists, dealers, and customers who all have different views.
The company JHS Pedals is neither religious nor political in nature. JHS Pedals does not support, fund, or link with any political or religious organizations.
JHS Pedals, an LLC, is solely owned and managed by Josh Scott
We’ve never received any money or assistance from any political or religious organization. As long as Josh Scott and the JHS Pedals team have been in charge, the firm has been a family affair.
We have a wide range of talented employees, dealers, artists, and customers from around the world. We love what we do, and we’ll be starting our 15th year in the industry in 2022, so you might say we’re devoted to it. Even as we strive for excellence in guitar pedal manufacturing and customer service, we pledge to treat everyone with dignity and respect.

The personal statement made by Josh about IHOPKC
I’ve never tried to hide the fact that, from 2010 to 2013, I volunteered as a musician at IHOPKC and made periodic trips to the church. No organization that harasses or discriminates against anyone, including the LGBTQIA+ community, has ever had my support or financial assistance, and I will never do so. We at JHS Pedals treat everyone with dignity and honor regardless of their religious or political views; ethnicity; gender; or sexual orientation.
I reject all ideas that are oppressive or discriminatory. “JHS Pedals” is not the IHOPKC or any of its 2,00-plus leaders, staff, or members that I’m here to meet with. My involvement with IHOPKC has been indirect for the last nine years or so. Personally, I am a staunch supporter and respecter of all people’s rights, and I have no involvement with any group that does the opposite.
