Controversy
We have a new season one champion: Blown Away‘s Deborah Czeresko. She has been accused of being a TERF. Some Blown Away fans are curious as to who Deborah’s wife or partner might be. Many viewers believe she should not have won.
You can’t dispute the fact that reality competition shows have been spot on over the last five years in the entertainment sector. Glassblowing was the initial feature of Blown Away, a show that also included body painting and piercings in addition to shepherds and mini-golf.
Glassblowing contestants from around the world compete for a chance to live at the Corning Museum of Glass, with cash prizes, and the right to brag about their accomplishments for all time in this remarkable series. The first season of Deborah Czeresko on Netflix had all of this and more.
Are you familiar with Blown Away star Deborah Czeresko’s character and origins?
When Deborah Czeresko was born on July 27, 1961, she graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and went on to work in the glass industry as an artisan from 1987 until her retirement in 2012. At Tulane University in New Orleans, she earned a master’s degree in fine arts.
A former intern at the New York Experimental Glass Workshop, Deborah swiftly rose through the ranks to become an instructor and visiting artist at a number of schools around the United States and Europe, culminating in a spot on Blown Away.
Deborah Czeresko highlighted her goal to become a role model and an impact on women who work in historically male-dominated areas like glass-blowing during her time on the show. In some way, each of her glass works represented this.
To gain her a place in the final of the competition, Deborah created an art piece depicting an unconventional take on breakfast complete with an abundance of eggs and a large canopy of sausage links.

The term “TERF” has become synonymous with her
In the eyes of her admirers because of her penchant for getting herself into sticky situations. “Usually female-oriented” is how Deborah described the egg she made showing an ova, which she mentioned in the Blown Away finale.
Some have called Deborah Czeresko a “TERF” (trans-exclusionary radical feminist). We don’t know for sure, though, whether she’s a real-life TERF. Fans are also curious about Deborah’s spouse or partner, although it doesn’t appear that she has one.
