Pro football player Aaron Charles Rodgers was born on December 2, 1983. He now plays quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL).
Early Life
In 2002, Rodgers started his collegiate football career at Butte College before transferring to UC Berkeley to play for the California Golden Bears. It was there that he established a number of passing records, including the lowest single-season and career interception rates. In the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, the Packers picked him.
Aaron Rodgers, who spent the first three years of his NFL career as Brett Favre’s backup, took over as the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers in 2008. In 2010, he was named Super Bowl MVP after leading his team to victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the championship game.
He has won the AP’s league MVP award four times (in 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2021) and was awarded AP’s Athlete of the Year in 2011. To date, Rodgers is only the fifth player in NFL history (after Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, and Jim Brown) to win the NFL MVP award in back-to-back seasons.

Controversy
Even though Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, had his favorite receiver, Davante Adams, sign with the Las Vegas Raiders in the offseason, he did obtain a far more forgiving set of COVID-19 regulations.
There will be no more required testing for Rodgers and the other players who chose not to get the vaccine. The time spent in isolation following a positive test is also shorter than it used to be, at less than a week.
However, before using team facilities, players must declare feeling fine and present a negative test result. A positive test result “means five days of isolation,” as reported by Sporting News in August.
During an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” on September 2, Rodgers welcomed these and other changes while also criticizing the NFL’s previous response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

One of the biggest scandals of the 2021 NFL season was caused by the fact that Rodgers had not been immunized. His prior remarks to reporters about being “immunized” were revealed to be false after he contracted COVID-19 in early November and was forced to miss team practices.
After trying an alternative treatment, Rodgers asked the NFL to officially count him as immunized. ESPN stated in November of 2021 that “the NFL has declined.”
Rodgers Reaffirmed This when He Spoke on Joe Rogan’s Podcast
Rodgers claimed that he would have elaborated on what he meant by “immunized” in August 2021 if reporters had asked. (He meant it to describe a homeopathic remedy.)
SB Nation’s Acme Packing Co. summarised Rodgers’s Rogan appearance, and they said that the quarterback said he couldn’t get the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines because of an allergy to polyethylene glycol.
There was still time for Rodgers to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, thus the NFL probably turned down his request to avoid mandating the immunization.
In March, the NFL and NFLPA agreed to eliminate most of the COVID-19 safety standards, as reported by NFL.com.
There had been rumors that Rodgers may retire or seek a trade, but on March 8 he announced that he will be staying with the Packers for the 2022 season.
There were rumors that Rodgers and the Packers had agreed to a 4-year, $200 million contract extension that would have made him the highest-paid player in NFL history, but Rodgers denied those rumors on Twitter, saying that the numbers on the proposed contract were inaccurate and that he had yet to sign such a contract. But he did say that he’d be back to play for the Packers in the NFL for the 18th time.

Career
His new deal was formally signed on March 16th. The total value of the deal was $150.8 million over three years (replacing the final year of his previous contract) with a guarantee of $101.5 million. By surpassing the $49 million per year contract held by NBA star Damian Lillard, the new deal makes him the most paid player in the history of North American sports.
Rodgers lost the first game of the season, 7-23 to the Minnesota Vikings, despite throwing for 195 yards and an interception.
