Say It rapper guilty of three crimes

A report from METRO said that after the WAP artist was shot in both feet in December, a jury in Los Angeles convicted the Say It rapper guilty of three crimes. Following a party in July 2020, the 28-year-old accused her 30-year-old ex-friend of being responsible for her injuries. After the incident, she suffered injuries, and she needed surgery to have the bullet pieces removed from her feet.

Lanez entered a not guilty plea to an assault charge after being detained for having a hidden firearm in an SUV. He had declined to give a testimony during the trial. A judge has now sentenced the celebrity, whose true name is Daystar Peterson, to ten years in prison.

Jury found Lanez guilty of assault with multiple charges

Peterson was due to receive his sentence earlier this year, following a series of delays. But the hearing has been postponed because of his attorney’s request for a new trial, which was refused by the court last month. The case was put to trial at the end of last year, almost two years after the occurrence.

The Savage artist, whose real name is Megan Pete, testified in court and broke down in tears as she recalled the shooting, telling the jury that she wished she hadn’t lived through her tragedy.  In addition, she criticized the reactions of many in the music business and their focus on her personal life instead of injuries, reports The Manila Times.

After one day of deliberation, the jury found Lanez guilty of assault with a semiautomatic weapon, possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm in a motor vehicle, and grossly negligent discharge of a firearm.
