Marvin Achi, a 24-year-old lawyer from Lake Worth, Florida, was supposed to compete in the upcoming season of CBS’ “Big Brother,” which premieres on Wednesday night. However, the network announced late Tuesday that Joseph would be taking his place.
Big Brother’s Twitter account announced the casting change without providing any explanation. There was no immediate response from representatives for “Big Brother” to TheWrap’s request for comment.
An important update on the cast is now available! After this season of Big Brother, Marvin will no longer be a member of our houseguests. Joseph is a welcome addition to the team.
Fans Immediately Took to Twitter to Voice Their Opinions on The Shift.
Fan speculation on Twitter suggested that Achi’s connection to NBC reality show “America’s Got Talent” may be to blame for the rebranding. It’s possible that filming for “Big Brother” will overlap with the reality star’s appearance on “Judge Cuts” in Season 17.
On Wednesday morning, TheWrap reached out to “America’s Got Talent” for comment, but no one responded immediately.
Achi is no longer part of the cast of “Big Brother,” but everyone else is still in place and ready to go, as announced on Tuesday.
