Well, I guess I’m Famous Now Fewer than two years remain until the 2022 competition, and already the first candidates appear to be emerging.
Fans are in for a treat this year since it has been 20 years since DJ Tony Blackburn won the inaugural season of the ITV reality show and was dubbed King of the Jungle.
An All-Stars special, featuring a few notable former participants, is now being filmed in South Africa in honour of the milestone, but it won’t air until 2023. (Read on to hear about the rumoured participants).
There’s the matter of the main show first, though, and after the first trailer aired on ITV on Friday, fans have been left wondering who will make an appearance (7 October).
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, the show’s hosts, have excitingly confirmed a return to the Australian jungle.

The 2022 lineup is starting to take shape. Culture Club singer Boy George, 61, is rumoured to be the highest-paid star in the show’s history, according to Mail Online, and he is the major signing this year.
Chris Moyles, 48, of Radio X, has reportedly decided to join following years of attempts by ITV executives to recruit him.
The Sun also claims comedian Seann Walsh has been cast in the new show. After appearing on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, Walsh became embroiled in a cheating scandal after he was spotted kissing his professional partner despite the fact that they were both in committed relationships.
Walsh said the event “destroyed” his career and caused him to suffer panic attacks while out in public in May 2021.
According to The Sun,
This year may also be the first in that a Love Island contestant will be let into the jungle. Stars who had previously appeared on the ITV2 dating series were not allowed to participate, but producers apparently made an exception for Olivia Attwood, who appeared in the third instalment of the show in 2015.
Charlene White, a 42-year-old presenter for ITV News and Loose Women, has agreed to a deal that will see her joining the ranks of Loose Women alums like Janet Street-Porter, Frankie Bridge, and Linda Robson.
Celebrity Gogglebox on Channel 4 introduced viewers to comedian Babatunde Aleshe, who may provide some comic relief. The source claims that producers had approached him for the role.
Former lawmaker Matt Hancock and EastEnders star Danny Dyer have also been included in these rumours. In time for the debut event in November, the 2022 lineup is scheduled to be made official at that time as well.
