Marlyne Barrett, Star of “Chicago Med,” Signs a New Contract with NBC

Marlyne Barrett, who portrays Nurse Maggie Lockwood on NBC’s Chicago Med, will continue to work on the Dick Wolf medical drama as part of a new multi-year contract.

According to Deadline, before she signed the new contract, original cast member Barrett’s contract was due to end this year. She is now a part of the original cast, which also includes S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Nick Gehlfuss, and Brian Tee. All of them renewed their contracts with Wolf Entertainment for the show last year.

She Will Take on The Part Again in Season 8, Which Will Debut on September 21, 2022.

She began working on Chicago Med in the show’s first season in 2015, and she has now appeared in 78 episodes spread across seven seasons. In Season 8, which will return on September 21, 2022, she will play the same part once more. The spin-off series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD have featured her character in a number of their episodes as well.
