An original Mouseketeer and the firstborn son of Mickey Rooney, Mickey Rooney Jr. sadly passed away at the age of 77 after a long battle with cancer.

His longtime companion Chrissie Brown confirmed that he passed away on Saturday at his Glendale, Arizona, home. The cause of death has not been released. According to actor Paul Peterson, a longtime friend of Rooney Jr.’s, the musician and actor “peacefully passed away” on Friday. At Disney, they were both original Mouseketeers.
