It’s been an uphill battle for lawmaker supporters of a state-based child tax credit 2024 and nothing has changed to know if it’s going to get any better.
The Child Tax Credit 2024 would be fully refundable, meaning that families without tax liability would take the full money
Rep. Kate Farrar, D-West Hartford who is a supporter of Child Tax Credit 2024 in Connecticut, said that the Child Tax Credit 2024 is a permanent and proven way to support the residents of the state, support the economy, close the gaps in child poverty, and have a fair tax system.
The United Way of Connecticut indicates that 75% of households with children would benefit and can avail of the Child Tax Credit 2024, translating to $306 million in tax refunds distributed to 268,000 eligible families.
The analysis of the Child Tax Credit 2024 assumes $600 per child yearly, for up to three children per filing family. Single-filing families making less than $100,000 per year, and joint-filers making less than $200,000 per year, would be qualified to receive the Child Tax Credit 2024.
Connecticut is the only state that taxes a family’s income but does not offer Child Tax Credit 2024, says Rep. Kate Farrar, D-West Hartford
No one signed up to attest against a child tax credit 2024 or deduction last Wednesday, but lawmakers will fight to find the revenue to fund the initiative.
The Democratic Child Tax Credit 2024 proposal would start at $50 per child and increase over the next four years to $600 per child, all up to three kids
