Trump addressed allegations that he mistook Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi when discussing January 6. Trump blamed his speeches’ irony and said that he had aced a cognitive test a few months before. He told the crowd he was sharp and took a cognitive test in the White House.
Trump used the crowd to defend his mental sharpness, citing cognitive testing and dismissing age concerns. Representative Elise Stefanik, a Trump supporter and prospective vice president, called Haley’s assertions pathetic, saying she relies on Democrats like Pelosi.
