Andrew Cuomo, the former governor of New York, is suing state Attorney General Letitia James in an attempt to compel her to make interviews from the damning investigation into sexual misconduct public, which resulted in his resignation.
Cuomo filed the complaint against James in state court in New York on Thursday, claiming he needed the whole witness testimonies for defending himself in two cases he was involved in concerning sexual harassment that were connected to the inquiry.
An unnamed female state trooper on his detail filed a complaint alleging that the former governor inspected and kissed her inappropriately. Another allegation is that between May 2019 and June 2020, Cuomo made inappropriate approaches on Charlotte Bennett, his former executive assistant.
In a another case, a federal judge refused to provide comparable records.
