A suspect is now in custody after a series of unprovoked stabbings in Queens according to an ABC News source. NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban called the attacks “senseless” as police intensively searched for the assailant. The victims unconnected to each other suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect wielding a hunting knife during one of the assaults. The first incident occurred on January 8 with subsequent attacks happening within a week.
