Seton Hall‘s previous encounter with Missouri dates back to the 1992 NCAA Tournament, where they secured an 88-71 triumph in Greensboro, North Carolina. Al-Amir Dawes demonstrated his scoring prowess, particularly from long range, sinking a crucial 3-pointer at the 5:53 mark to extend Seton Hall’s lead to 75-56. However, Missouri mounted a spirited comeback, narrowing the gap to single digits through a series of three-pointers and free throws. Despite the Tigers’ resilience, Jaden Bediako’s timely layup and Al-Amir Dawes’ clutch free throws helped Seton Hall maintain a nine-point advantage at 82-73 with 1:49 remaining.

Missouri (7-4) fought valiantly, with Tamar Bates leading their scoring effort with a perfect 4-for-4 performance from both beyond the arc and the free-throw line, accumulating 22 points. Despite the Tigers’ late surge, Seton Hall maintained composure, sealing the victory with crucial free throws in the final minute.

Looking ahead, Seton Hall is set to host No. 5 UConn on Wednesday, while Missouri will face off against No. 16 Illinois on Friday in what promises to be another intense matchup for both teams.
