The entire fall of a building in the Bronx may have been caused by a possible error during the inspection.
The Department of Structures commissioner disclosed in a private conversation with CBS New York on Friday that the person thought to be accountable for the blunder has inspected many other structures in New York City.
Jimmy Oddo, Commissioner of the Department of Buildings, claims that the reason behind the fall in Morris Heights is still unknown. Oddo did, however, note that the day of the occurrence involved a severe building fault.
He called it an elementary, basic, vital, and disastrous mistake.
