Ralph DiMatteo, 68, was found guilty of racketeering on Tuesday and was sentenced to 3 years in prison by a federal court in Brooklyn.
Just a few hours before he and his 13 accomplices were named in an indictment from September 2021, the former advisor to the criminal family fled to Florida. In addition to accusations of loansharking and laundering funds, the accusation charged them of being part of a 20-year conspiracy that entailed the bribery of a Queens union.
