As per updated statistics given by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, since the operation’s inception in 2021, over 488,500 illegal immigrants have been apprehended at the southern border as a result of Operation Lone Star. Additionally, it has resulted in almost 37,300 arrests for crimes.

Abbott shared on social media on Sunday that Texas law enforcement has apprehended over 450 million fentanyl doses alongside the migrant arrests.

He wrote, “Texas is holding the line.”

Near an effort to stop illegal immigration into his state, the governor of Texas installed a 1,000-foot string of orange spherical buoys near Eagle Pass, Texas, spaced four feet apart.
