In a shocking turn of events, a grand jury in Middle Tennessee has recently indicted criminal defense lawyer Jocelyn Mims on serious charges related to the alleged deletion of child pornography from her client’s phone.

Hendersonville police disclosed that Ms. Jocelyn Mims faces accusations of tampering with evidence, making false reports to an officer, and intentionally failing to report child sex abuse

The indictment highlights the gravity of the charges against Ms. Jocelyn Mims, who is currently held in Sumner County Jail under an $80,000 bond. The identity of her client, facing multiple felony charges, remains undisclosed. Notably, Ms. Jocelyn Mims had been retained by the client in 2021.

This is not the first instance of legal trouble for Ms. Jocelyn Mims, as she had previously faced disbarment following a 2008 guilty plea for attempting to smuggle drugs into the Gallatin jail for a client

The Tennessean reports that during the incident, Ms. Jocelyn Mims, who had her law license reinstated in 2017, was caught trying to sneak in Xanax and marijuana to an inmate with whom she was allegedly having an affair.
