At least 18 Brown University students in Rhode Island were arrested after protesting and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza within the campus following various attacks, wherein several Brown University students identified themselves as pro-Palestinians.

According to a report published in Washington Examiner, authorities received a report about the Brown University students staging a sit-in in the buildings, which is against the fire regulations, and continued protesting despite warnings given to the Brown University students to leave the campus premises.

With the current attacks, the Brown University students demanded that the university president initiate a ceasefire and divest from companies that only profit from the ongoing war; however, the university president claimed that the demands of the Brown University students required a lot of decision-making.
