Global dominance in the E.V. supply chain is being expanded by Gotion operations in Illinois and Michigan, according to a Chinese state-run journal

The Chinese Communist Party is in charge of the Chinese official journal, The Global Times. China’s development of its domination across the electric car and battery supply networks in the United States and most of the world is celebrated in its column from October 31.

China is projected to dominate the U.S. market, and the piece cites Gotion’s proposed E.V. battery manufacturers in Illinois and Michigan as examples. Billions of state and federal tax funds are being used to fund those projects, and Gotion has several connections to the Chinese Communist Party.

The article states, “China has established a comparatively comprehensive EV manufacturing supply chain, and roughly 70% of the global battery manufacturing potential is based in China.”
