The effects of Hurricane Norma in Texas are heavily reliant on an additional system moving in from the Pacific Northwest as it comes to a stall in the Pacific Ocean.

Hurricane Norma was making landfall off the western coast of Mexico as of Friday afternoon with winds of 110 mph. Based on a recent report from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), it was moving towards Mexico at 8 mph and is anticipated to come close to the southern section of the state of Baja California on Friday evening and through Saturday. The 3rd significant hurricane to threaten Mexico in the past 2 weeks.

Although Norma is predicted to continue progressively weakening when it approaches close to or above the southern section of Mexico’s Baja California, it is still likely to develop into a hurricane.
