U.S. District Judge Martin Reidinger handed down the sentence to Brandon Lee Nalley, Hendersonville man arrested, of Hendersonville, imposing a term of 168 months in prison along with five years of supervised release for his involvement in methamphetamine trafficking.
A Hendersonville man arrested and has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for drug-related offenses following a comprehensive investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies
The investigation, which took place between July and December 2021, engaged federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, aiming to dismantle methamphetamine trafficking networks in western North Carolina. Nalley, the Hendersonville man arrested was identified as a key supplier of methamphetamine in Henderson County during this operation.
Law enforcement relied on a confidential source to orchestrate controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Nalley, the Hendersonville man arrested. On December 22, 2021, deputies from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop, uncovering a duffel bag containing methamphetamine, a loaded handgun with an extended magazine, and an additional magazine loaded with seven rounds of hollow point ammunition inside the Hendersonville man arrested vehicle.
The Hendersonville man arrested pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy
On April 26, 2023, Nalley, the Hendersonville man arrested pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute significant quantities of methamphetamine. He is currently in federal custody and will be transferred to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons after designation to a suitable facility.
U.S. Attorney King commended the Western District’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) for spearheading the investigation. She also expressed gratitude to the various agencies, including the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, and others, for their dedicated efforts in this case.
