Cleveland Cavaliers‘ President of Basketball Operations, Koby Altman, found himself in legal trouble on Friday night in Ohio, facing charges of impaired driving, as reported by law enforcement sources.

Troopers spotted Koby Altman‘s 2022 Lexus making a traffic error while heading east on Route 2 in Cleveland, just before 9 p.m. ET. Further investigation during the traffic stop revealed signs of impairment.
“The motorist was latterly placed under arrest for OVI and soon after offered a breath test, which he refused,” the statement clarified.
In response to the incident, the Cavaliers released a concise statement on Saturday addressing Koby Altman’s arrest. “We’re apprehensive of an incident involving Gentlemen President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman,” the statement conveyed via ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Law enforcement emphasized Koby Altman’s respectful and cooperative demeanor with the troopers during the traffic stop. Koby Altman, who secured second place in the NBA Executive of the Year rankings last season, ascended to the position of general manager for the Cavs in 2017.
Cleveland had a successful season last year, clinching 51 victories and making a return to the NBA playoffs after a four-year hiatus.
